我老公已经续签H1b3年两次，因为在申请绿卡(拿到了劳工卡I140,正在等排期），得以每年续签H1b（今年刚刚续签过）.面临被解雇，理论上需要10天之内离境。
我也有H1b,可以让他转成H4留在美国，可是如果他在找到工作，还可以transfer H1b到新的工作并不算入当年配额么？
-It seems he is in the 7th or 8th year H1, right? If so, as long as his current employer (the I-140 sponsor) does not withdraw the I-140, he can use it to extend/transfer his H1 later when he find a new job and not need to get the new H1 quote. If his employer withdraw his I-140, he can not get the H1 anymore unless he stay outside US for one year so that he can get a new h1 quote for another 6 year term.
还是因为6年H1b用尽需要新单位重新申请H1b并占用当年配额?
若是受配额限制找工作就要困难的多，是不是他不应该走H4而是想别的办法呢(比如去申请一个program重做学生，可是他已经有了很多学位（本科硕士博士），再读一个纯属浪费时间金钱。
