请教皮老师、8老师及各位大侠：俺老公（女儿继父）是公民，俺是绿卡，女儿今年刚满20（92年6月出生），目前F1。俺邦其转身份，请教了当地律师及加州华人律师，两个说法：当地律师说小女转身份最起码8年，他认为时间太长不值得转，还不如F1毕业后找工作再转；加州律师说虽然过了18周岁但未满21周岁只要3-4年，如果是这个时间的话当然还是值得我帮她转的。
疑问：一、两个不同的律师关于排期说法怎么会相差这么多？
-Because your child will reach 21 years old very soon, so you only can sponsor her green card using F2b category (she can not get the green card before 21 using F2A) and thus, it will take about 8 years. So, 当地律师 is right.
One exception is that if your current marriage occurred before your child turned 18 years old, your hu*****and (your child step-father) can sponsor your child's green card, and thus, she can get the green card within one year.
