姐姐的孩子已经办完领养并和我们一起居住3年了，开始申请绿卡，材料寄到芝加哥一个月有通知打指模，等了快2个月后被告知案子转到加州，等了快6个月收到的是一封：海阁公约，HAGUE Convention.真不知道这怎么办了？
- HAGUE Convention = “海牙公约”. If you are a US citizen when you adopted the child (from China), you need to follow the rule of HAGUE Convention because China is one of the HAGUE Conventions countries. USCIS changed the adopted child green card applicaton regulations a few years ago to follow this Convention. Thus, the US citizen to adopt a child from a HAGUE Convention contries becomes very complicated. I suggest you to hire an experienced lawyer to help you out. If you are not a US citizen, the adoption will be much simple.
