我有个朋友是加拿大绿卡，家住加拿大，持H1B在美国工作。

最近他换了雇主，上周回加拿大的美国领馆换H1B签证，可是过了一个礼拜了还没有一点消息。

这个正常吗？

-I think so.

 一般这个过程需要多久？

-If he was not informed he is subjected to background check (Administrative Processing), he should get the visa in about one week to ten days. May contact the US Consulate.
