-You only can file I-130 for him and he can not file I_485 until the priority date is current about 10 years later.

他就能在美国以合法的身份继续呆下去？

-He needs to have his own status to stay in US such as H1, etc. before he files I-485.

还是在毕业后找不到工作的话，还是要继续找学校来保持身份？

-It is very difficult to change the status back to F-1 from another status such as H1 because of immigration intent (I-130 filing) unless he can keep his F-1 continually.
