我的PD是2009年5月的，2月份我全家已经递了485的申请， 估计要到明年才有可能到我们的排期。 我们已经都拿到了EAD/AP.女儿今年9月上大学，因为我们还没有拿到绿卡，在美国上大学学费都比较贵，又拿不到FINANCIAL AID。 我们是加拿大公民，加拿大大学学费比较便宜， 我们有打算让女儿回加拿大上大学. 如果女儿回加拿大上大学， 对将来拿绿卡会有什么影响吗？具体问题如下。
1. 如果去加拿大，我们出美国境时，是要交回TN签证，并出示AP? 还是只出示AP? 回美国是肯定AP了。
-When you go out of US, just show your passport and return your TN/TD I-94 to the ailrines or to the US CBP officer. Because all of you have filed I-485s (immigration intent), you can not use TN anymore and have to use AP or H1/H4 visa.
2. 我知道AP一年到期之前可以RENEW,如果人在境外可以RENEW吗？
-No.
持AP在境外可以待多久？
-She needs to return to US before AP expires and normally AP is valdi for one year (two years in some cases).
当然有假期时， 我女儿可以回来美国。
3. 递了485后， 一年大部分时间不在美国，对将来拿绿卡会有什么影响吗？
-Normally no for the dependent.
4. 如果485批了，人在加拿大，不在美国境内，有什么影响吗？
-Fine. Then, just send the green card to her and she can use it to come back.
