one question about B-2 extension

Our B-2 extension for mom has been approved.

When we applied for B-2 extension, we mailed the original (old) I-94. The original I-94 is not returned.

So when mom goes back to China, the bottom part of the approval notice could be used as the new I-94 (departure record), right?
