我女儿也是f1,485pending, 明年要去graduate school, 我们想让她保持f1身份，怕AOS后万一绿卡被拒（只是万一），必须离境，她就不能继续学业了。我们想着从一个学校转到另一个学校，只是I-20换一下，f1身份可以不变。期间她不离开美国。

请问8老师，她是否必须换成AOS？

-Because USCIS is not involved in F-1 transfer, your child probably still can do the F-1 transfer and thus, continue her F-1 status. Anyway, not hurt her to do it. If it fails, her status will automatically be AOS (do nothing). But she has to use AP to travel internationally (she will not get the F-1 visa again).
