you after hitting you?(just apologize at home, not publicly) Looks like you are worried this would affect him while he is trying to let you take the blame (say you did it to yourself). He didn't even want to talk to lawyer because he doesn't think he is wrong??? If you are not dependent on him in any way, just let him take care of himself.
