我持H1工作签证。今天从中国返回美国通过海关。我的I-797   2014年7月到期，我的护照2013年2月到期，所以海关官员 给我的I-94 only 到2013年2月。当时海关官员说我换了护照以后可以联系USCIS更换I-94， 但是学校说我必须在2013年2月离境重新申请签证。我已经被check了3次，每次4-5周，实在不想离境重新申请签证，有什么办法吗？

-Ask the school to file the H-1 extension (File I-129) before 2013年2月, your current I-94 expiration date, so that you do not need to go out of US to get the visa to come back.

The H1 visa is valid for one year, right? So, another choice is that after you renew your apssport, you may go to Mexico or Canada and come back to get a new H1 I-94 at the port of entry before your current H1 visa expires.

听说在墨西哥和加拿大签一样会check被对吗？
