Teacher 8 and Pijiang: please help

Received 485 RFE ask for birth certificate. Is it OK if both me and my lawyer respond to it? Is it OK if there are 2 duplicate responses?
The RFE was sent to both me and the lawyer. The lawyer are so slow to response, I don't want to wait. But my lawyer want to respond also.
