Situation: my H1B will be 6 years soon; 485 (EB3) was submitted years ago, I am a dependent; I will apply EAD soon.


 


Question: Do I also need transfer my status from H1b to H4 before H1b expires?

 Is that OK if I only have EAD after my H1b expires?
