-Not necessary. If your H1 I-94 does not expire yet, you are legal to stay in US. So, just fine a job as soon as possible and do the H1 transfer. If your H1 transfer approval has no I-94 due to the status gap, just go outside US to get the H1 visa to come back.

-It does not make difference and your H1 transfer still can be approved, but the approval notice will have no I-94 and thus you just get the H1 vis outside US to activate your H1 status.

But what will happen if the H1B holder is not able to find a job after the termination of his/her job for 180 days, provided that his/her H1 I-94 is still not expired yet and he/she has already submitted his/her I-485? Is this situation calculated as OOS? If he/she has already got his/her AP approved, whether he/she needs to travel across the US border to get a CBP stamp before the 180-day limit? 谢谢回答。(I know in this situation the 485 will definitely be in danger if any RFE requires for employment varification)
