8 teacher, here is the update for our re-apply H4 visa. We had in-person interview for a H4 visa on behalf or my adopted child recently and the visa officer had no questions to ask and only said the child is not eligible for a H4 visa based on American's laws. We argued there is no such law for adoption related to nonimmigrant and we were not allowed to explain more and were dismissed.
Do you think we should try to apply a B2 visa immediately for the adopted child since we applied for a wrong visa category (H4)? Were there any sucessful stories with a B2 visa? I feel so frustrated and thanks so much for everyone's help!!

因为绿卡估计在3-4个月批下来，到时H1B作废了，H4就签不成了，只能去签B2了。另外，我们原来在广州签，还回广州签还是到其他使馆。
