我也是同样的问题，可是我问了律师，律师说一直拿到收据才能出境。

-Not need to have the receipt, but had better wait for a few days (5 to 6 days) after sending out the application using Overnight Express to make sure USCIS put the I-485 filing information into the USCIS system, then you can leave US.
