“Your wife had better not file her I-485 with you”

Could I ask why? She is holding H4 and planning to file F1 today. does I-485 have anything bad effect on her?

-If she files I-485, her F1 applicaiton will be denied due to immigration intent. Also, you do not know whether your I-485 will be OK. If your I-485 is OK, she can file I-485 any time even if after you get your green card.
