h1b明年十月就6年到期了，如果今年12月份找到新工作然后开始办绿卡， 还来得及吗？ 

-Yes if everything goes smoothly. You can use premium processing to get the I-140 approved in 15 days after the PERM is approved. Then, extend your h1 beyond the 6 year limit for another 3 years term.

还有，如果是转成F1 （或 H4），需要离境后再签证吗？

-No if you file the change fo status before your H1 expires.
