Teacher P & 8: Please help fo question to file Motion to Reopen?

Hi,
My application (PERM/I-140/I-485) was filed by the Lawyer Office. After I was laidoff from my sponsor company, I didn't continue to use the lawyer. 1).If my case is rejected, can I file the MTR by myself?
2).Will/Should my previous lawyer be contacted?
