如果失去身份不超过6个月是不是将来申请绿卡就没有问题了？还是任何的gap都会影响绿卡的申请呢？
我记得上次我H-4的申请是7月份递的，但是批下来已经11月了，上面有效期是写11月到12月。那我的身份在11月前算合法吗？还是只从有效期算合法身份，之前是不是已经有gap了？
-You just need to wait for the H4 approval or denial (most likely it will be approved). If approved, you just need to file I-539 to change the H4 to F1 if your spouse can not find a job soon. If denied, just go out of US to get the F1 visa to come back if you have not filed your I-485 yet. Once you get the new F1 visa to come back, your status has no gap at all (your status history only is counted from the date of your last/latest entry to the date you get the GC. You worry too much.
