急问！I-20过期，但有有效H1-B，还能转回学生签证吗...

我的I-20一年多前过期，不过有H1-B保持身份。同时因为在写论文，所以一直有在学校注册学分。H1-B年底到期，想转回学生身份。哪位朋友知道类似的案例？移民局会批准I-20 extension吗？要等多长时间？谢谢了！
