我9月1日是F1的OPT，我的OPT时间是2012年8月31日结束。我准备向老板提出申请H签证，我想问，如果我的H签证批下来，H签证的开始时间是从批准之日开始算？（我知道H签证2－4个月审批时间）还是从我OPT结束的时间开始算（即2012年9月1日），非常不懂，向老师请教。
-It is counted from the start date your employer indicated on the Form I-129 when your H1 petition is approved.
For example, your employer indicated Oct. 20, 2011 as the H1 start date in the Form 129 and the H1 petition is approved on December 20, 2011. Then, your H1 status will be counted from Oct. 20, 2011. But before December 20, 2011, your status is still F1 because your H1 is still pending before that date. Hope I have address it clearly.
