My EB2 based I-140 got approved in 2008. And I was promoted in 2010. But I perform the similar duties (90% same)

-Just simple promotion may not affect the PERM/I-485 if the job responsibility does not change significantly.

My priority date is current and I can file 485 in August.

I really would like to know how to write the employment letter??

-Not need to provide any employment letter for your I-485 filing because you still work for the I-140 sponsor. You just need to provide all the copies of H1 approval notices with I-94s and your recent 3 month paycheck stubs.

The current position is different from the one used for PERM and 140. Is a big problem?
