a quesiton regarding A#

I have a experience of I-485 failure, while, at that time, I get an A#;

Last year, for eb2 I-140, lawyer asked for my previous A# for I-140 applicaiton;

Do I need to use same A# for all my I-140/I485 applcations in USA?
