今天收到移民局的信件，关于妈妈绿卡申请，我还需要补充材料。信上说You submitted a "Notarial Certificate" translation of your birth certificate. Petitioner and Beneficiary are requested to submit a certified photocopy of the Household Registry or the booklet issued by the Province Health Department regarding your birth.(AND SUBMIT AN ENGLISH TRANSLATION IF NEEDED).

我的问题是：信上是否要求户口本公证？

-Yes. They need secondary evidence to verify the reationship between you and your mother.

国内的户口本公证是否有效？

-Yes. That is what they want. The 户口本公证 should contain both you and your mother's names and birhtdate

是否能在美国办户口公证？

-You need to have the copy of the orignal户口本 and then, you can do it in US if you want to, but do it in China if more convenient.

因为我没有医院开出的出生证明，所以只能寄希望于户口本了。多谢各位！
