公司h1b一问

本人eb1a 140已交两月，还没消息。
现在是学校h1b，一公司可能给offer，两三个月后可上班。
据说公司h1b很难办，名额有限。
一般4月交，10月批。
这样一来，这个offer可能落空。

请问这种情况该如何处理最合理。请有经验的大侠指点。谢谢
