我记得我在本版请教时，被告知：79岁以上的老人不交打指模的费用（$85），但不等于取消打指模。也就是钱可以不交，但指模还是要打的。
-Your mother is not required to do all the fingerprinting, but still needs to do the other biometrics (Code 2) such as taking her photograph and capturing her signature and taking her thumb fingerprinting. These biometrics are not for backgroudn check, but are needed to produce the I-551 Permanent Resident Card ("green card").
