How can I require case number of I-539 which case receives notic

I filed I-539 to NSC for my mother on 2002, but my mother returned to China before her case was approved. We are unable to find the case notice due to moving frequently. May I inquire the case number based on my mother’s name and birthday? How can I prove I had filed I-539 for my mother?
