A Question about my mother's green card

My mother suffered from 心动过速 last year. We sent her back last November and she is scheduled to come back on July 15. We are very concerned about her health and may send her back to China after a half month. Is it true that as long as the time she goes back to China is less than a half year, she can keep her green card? In other words, if my mother only spends only a half month until the end of July in the USA and come back to USA again next January, she will be fine with her green card. Is that right?

This question is very important to us. Your advice and help would be greatly appreciated.
