Before my trip to Canada, my status changes are:

F1 - H1 - Paroled - H1.

This "paroled" is from my first I-485 (2007 application, denied due to failure of I-140 in 2008, but the denial date is later than my status changing back to H1B).

Now I am dealing with the RFE for my new 485 just filed two months ago and after my Canada trip.

Did this paroled affect the applicability of AVR for me?

If did, why did the border officer allow me to enter? That time, I did not have any other entry documents except my I94 from my extended H1B approval notice.
