Watch out! "a glitch in the people soft system" can hurt!

What is the exact meaning of the "glitch" in this sentence "Because of a glitch in the people soft system your H was retracted" by USCIS ...? I checked with the person who wrote this but couldn't get any response.

(I am focusing on solving my problem now)
