-You need to file I-765 and I-131 together at the same time in order to receive the EAD/AP combination card. If your I-485 filing fee was old old fee (less than $1010), the costs for this combination card will equal the combined costs of filing Forms I-131 and I-765, which is a total of $740. If your I-485 filing fee was new ($1010) or new new fee ($1070), you do not need to pay any fee for the EAD/AP application fee. You also need to provide the support documents based on the I-130 and I-765 Instructions as you usually do for the separate application for EAD or AP. So, actually nothing more convenient than separate EAD/AP application except one card vs two cards.
