size (if you have other people depending on you, such as your children/
parents). Generally at least three/five times the poverty guidelines from http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf

if you don't need to support other relatives, you should have at least three
times of $18,212.--> that's about $60k.
That is a minimum. No clear rules - so better to have a lot more.

Or find a joint sponsor has at least that money.
