that is the only criminal conviction I ever had, it was the first and the last by now.
i am really upset these days, cos, i heard that they dont do background check for EAD card, so, even i got my EAD card, my Green card might get rejected.

-Had you been arrested due to this case? Did the court/judge made the decision that you was guilty? If no, you do not have a crime record. If you just was fined $500, that was a moral issue/civil case, not crime. I do not think you need to worry about that.
