请问皮老师，八老师关于consular process的程序问题

请问皮老师，八老师，

我的绿卡已批准，配偶在国内，准备consular process，请问我现在除了填824表格，还需要给NVC寄其他材料吗？

律师说填824表格要500刀，后面的程序要1500刀，请问consular process有必要请律师吗？我在坛子里搜寻了一下，关于consular process的材料比较少。请问这个过程麻烦吗，需要请律师吗？如果因为某种原因，绿卡申请不被批准的话，是不是律师可以帮助appeal？绿卡不被批的可能性有多大？
