我们去年分别由H-1/H-4改为F-1/F-2保合法身份，在一年的I-20即将到期时move 到别的城市，同时transfer到新的学校拿到新的一年期的I-20，

我的问题是，我们是不是需要填I-539表，并用新的I-20到移民局申请延长F1/F2的时间呢？

-Not need I-539 filing. The new school issued the new I-20 to you and that means your F1/F2 status has been extended (the new school just needs to put you rinformation into SEVIS and that is all, and not need USCIS involved/approved).
