Hi. 863211:

I already went to the local office. The lady there seems do not want to help. What she said was that if the date of approval does not exced 30 days then just wait. The good part of visiting the local office was that she did find out that the card was mailed to my previous address. How could they mail the receipt notice to my CORRECT current address and mail my approval notice to my previous WRONG address?

I followed up with the current tenent living at my previous address and the lady said that she received a letter from USCIS and returned it to postal office. I also checked with local postal office and they said under this circumstance they send the letter back to original sender, which is USCIS.

I did a phone call on 12OCT2010 and the gentleman on the line generated a service request for me. Today I received a email back from USCIS, basically they said they can not find the returned mail and ask me to refile. See below the email:

Type of service requested:
-- Non-Delivery of Employment Authorization Card

The status of this service request is:

On September 24, 2010 we created an Employment Authorization Document for you and mailed it to the address we had on file at that time.  You have notified us that you have not received it and the post office has not returned it to us. We must conclude that it has been lost in the mail.  Therefore, you will need to file a Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization to replace that lost document. You can download this form on our website www.uscis.gov.  You can also file this form electronically on our website. Please follow the instructions on the form. In the future, if you change your address please contact customer service at the number provided below.

If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

Now I have a question: If I file another I-765: Replacement EAD, will I get the same starting date as my approved but lost EAD?

Thanks for the help.
