urgent: infopass result on EAD delay

My EAD renewal has been submitted for more than 2.5 months and I went to Infopass this morning, the lady told me it is stuck in extended security check on Sept 3, and told me the 90 days will be counted from Sept 3. My EAD will expire at the end of this month. Pls advise what I should do? is the 90 days counting correct? I understand it should be from the receipt date?
