EAD application: Received Date: 28JUN2010, Notice Date: 06JUL201

Hi. Could any one give me some insights of my case?

  I have applied EAD this June (I am EB3, and my priority date is July 2006). The received date of I-765 application is 28JUN2010 and notice date is 06JUL2010. My current EAD expires on 23OCT2010. I have logged onto my account on USCIS web page. The last updated date of my I-765 application has changed from 10JUL2010 to 09SEP2010. The status of my application is still Initial Review. My application number starts with three letters: LIN, which I guess is in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The complexity of my case is that I applied I-485 together with my wife. I am the principle applicant. Several weeks ago my wife got her finger print request from USCIS and I did not get that. This is not the first time that USCIS asked her finger print without asking mine. I called my lawyer (he took care of my I-140 application and it was approved) about the finger print. My lawyer said that he had requested the USCIS about the finger print issue. And later he said that USCIS will issue the request of my finger print soon. 

My questions are as following:

If the last updated date of I-765 has changed, then someone is looking at my application? Since the involvement of my finger print, I am not sure if the triggering of the change of the date is from my I-765 application or my I-485 application (finger print)

I searched the site and saw people talked a lot of infopass and local office expidition. Could any one elaberate these for me? What is infopass? how to get to the info pass? how to make appointment with USCIS local office?

Does it help to contact local Congressman? I am at Chicago.
