今天去了学校的International Student & Scholar Services，想确认一下CPT的qualification,结果被告知我只能用P/T CPT，不能用Full time的，


原因是我的I-20上写着program extension。
-It is true that students who have been granted a Program Extension are not eligible to pursue full-time CPT.

我一年前完成了第一个master，现在在读的是第二个master，是在同一所学校，但在不同的Dept。第二个master所有的course work都已经完成了，就差thesis。所以我想一边找工作，一边写论文，如果找到了就用Full Time CPT.

想请问一下我这样的情况，I-20上非得算是program extension吗？
-Actually your situation should not have been counted as the program extension. It is actually a new study program. So, you school made a mistake in your I-20.

有没有什么办法我能拿到Full Time CPT？
-Ask you your school whether they can fix the mistake in your I-20 by issuing a new I-20 (remove the program extension and change it to new program). Anyway, discuss this issue with your school because you are qualifed for full time CPT.
