You are eligible to enroll in classes as an F-1 student even after your wife submits an application for a green card for you. It can get very complicated to understand what happens to your F-1 student status once an I-485 is filed (application for U.S. Permanent Residence) so again please plan to see an international student advisor in normal walk-in advising hours sometime this fall so we can discuss all of this in a detailed conversation.
