Yes, when she checks in at Eastern Airline, ask for the wheel-chair service. My parents took Southern Airline in Guangzhou. They arranged the service for her. A man from LA airport took care of everything.

Don't have to write a letter asking for 6 month stay. Most of the time, they will get 6 months.
