父母B2在美国，三个半月交绿卡申请早不早?

父母想早交申请。 现打算三个半月后交绿卡申请， 这样就得刚过三个月作体检。 请问是不是太早了， 还是只要过了三个月就可以?
大家都是父母到美国后什么时候开始办的?
