我的护照是今年8月底过期,家里人的是明年3月底过期,想一起去把护照换了,免得跑两趟.我的问题是:
1)我的护照是不是要等H1批复下来才能去换? (换了之后,旧护照还给我不?)
-Not need. You can renew your passport now or any time.

2)家里人的护照在过期前8个月能不能换新的?
-I do not know. Check the Chinese Consulate website or contact the Consulate.
