请教,PJIANG老师,863211老师,please help.

My I140 was approved 2 years ago, but I485 was not submitted yet. And I do not know when it can be submitted because of the backlog. Now I only have 11 months to reach the H1b 6-year limit. But my current employer just renewed my H1b for another 3 years to 2013 (due to the approval of I140). I consider changing my job now. I am not sure if that is practical from the visa point of view. If my current employer withdraws I-140, will I only have 11 months or till 2013 for the new company to get Perm approved or I-140 approved. Your answer will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot.
