是不是绿卡必须满4年9个月才能开始申请公民？

我是绿卡今年六月底满4年9个月。现在爸妈B-2在美国，是第二次入境，原定8月20号左右回国。现在正在纠结是否能有办法让他们呆在这里等拿到绿卡后再走，因为以后签证谁也难料。我在纽约州，估计最快没有几个月是办不下来的。不知道有什么好办法想请教大家。
-Fine. After you get the US citizenship, you can sponsor their GC applicaiton. Their unlawful presence does not affect their GC application. So, don't worry. Many people did the same way and had no problem.
