Emergent TN Status Question

I have a question about my TN status and see if any of you can help me out:

My current TN status will expire in September 20, 2010. It comes with my old password that will expire in December 22, 2010.

Recently I renewed my passport while I stay in US. As a result my old password is automatically invalidated.

My question is: If I travel to China for a week, Can I still use my current TN status (a I-94 card with Multiple Entry stamp) to enter US?
