我孩子明年要上大学，是不是一定需要AP过境明年才能不算国际学生？我们拿AP去墨西哥，I-485 will be affected，那回国呢，是不是一样的效果。
-You said you go to Mexico to apply for a visa and that is why I say you only can apply for H1/H4 visa. If you get another type of visa such as B2 or F1 outside U.S and come back, your I-485 will be invalid no matter whether you have AP or not.
So, you need to address your question clearly.

Of course, if you just use AP to go outside U.S. (including Mexico) and come back with AP, your I-485 will be fine.

-Your kid just use AP to go outside US and come back with AP to get the Parolee I-94 at the port of entry.
