我公司为我现在的职位已经办成了PERM，但是最近要promote我，higher title with more responsibilities。


我的新工作将有50%是与原来的职位一样的内容。也就是说（举例），我原来的职位是Senior Analyst of Customer, 新职位是Manager of Customer and Supplier。

我现在的美国律师建议我推倒重来（他们当然想这样了，可以多收一遍钱），否则这个PERM就作废了。

请问这样我的PERM是否一定要推倒重来？我可以用以前的PERM做新工作/申请140吗？
-If you will come back to your current PERM position after you get the GC, you can use this PERM to file I-140. Otherwise, you need to file a new PERM for this new position and then, file a new I-140 based on the new PERM because the PERM is very specific to a job position.
