EB2,140 approved in 2007, 485 pending, PD 11/06. changed job (similar job deion) last year to another university and H1B transfered. Current HR says 485 is not self-sponsored and it is still tied to approved 140 sponsored by the previous university. They have the option of taking over the I-140/I-485, but they do not have to. Potentially it affect eligibility for an H-1B extension. So,
1. 485 is not self sponsored? I filed 485 thru my own attorney.
2. Is it necessary to transfer 140/485 sponsorship like H1B? It means start over? If not, any risk or hurt to the case?
3. My H1B needs extension (beyond 6 year), all will affect this?
