Help: effect for green card if company is spinned off

I140 approved, PD sept. 2007, I485 has not submitted. Several years ago, the funder sold the company to a big company, and we applied labour certificate and I140 in this big comapny. Now there is rumor that the department will be spinned off to the prvious samll company owner again. What will be the green card application? Do we need to start application from beginning? Thanks for help.
